Studies on the sphalerite from the Hitachi Mine

Abstract

Some authors have indicated the fact that the part of the ore deposits of Hitachi mine were subjected to the thermal metamorphism by the intrusion of the post-ore two mica adamellitc mass. Observing FeS of sphalerites distributed widely in these ore deposits, the writer investigated the effect of post-ore intrusive. Consequently, FeS content of sphalerites enriched with the rise of temperature, on the contrary diminished with the increase of pressure. These results could be explained by Kullerud's theory (1953).
