Abstract
A 79-years-old female visited her home doctor because of a positive fecal occult blood test. Colonoscopy revealed Isp polyp in the rectum, and had EMR (endoscopic mucosal resection) for the lesion. After one year, follow-up colonoscopy was performed, the recurrence was suspected and she admitted to our hospital. Colonoscopy revealed rectal polipoid lesion of which appearance was Isp and 12mm, multiple LST in the cecum and ascending colon. Initial EMR was performed for rectal polipoid lesion, pathological diagnosis of the lesion was adenocar-cinoma in adenoma. The possibility of another lesion with carcinoma can not be ruled out, and lower anterior resection, right hemicolectomy were performed for these lesion. The residual tumor was not noticed in the rectum, and seven LSTs of which size were distributed from 10 to 26mm were found in the cecum and ascending colon. Six LSTs were tubular adenoma, one LST was tubular adenoma with severe dysplasia of the ascending colon. We reported because multiple LSTs are rare.
