Abstract

This paper was published in error prior to the publication of the gibbon genome sequence assembly and analysis by the Gibbon Genome Analysis Consortium, due to the author’s lack of knowledge of the embargo on the genome. The paper is currently an invalid publication [Corrigendum; Genes Genet. Syst. 87: 277 (2012)].
The gibbon genome paper was published on Sept. 11, 2014 (1). The authors asked the Consortium for amending the status of the publication and make it valid again. This request was approved by the Consortium on October 10, 2014. The paper can be regarded as a valid publication effective of October 10, 2014.
