On Achalinus spinalis from Saji, Tottori Prefecture

Abstract

Three females of Achalinus spinalis were obtained from Saji-son, Tottori Prefecture, on 24 July 1998. All the three females had mature eggs in their oviducts, suggesting the spawning season of this specis. The number of eggs found in each individual was 6, 3, and 6, respectively. This is the first record of this species from Tottori Prefecture.
