In order to meet the growing demands for tetherless communication services in individual and business activities in recent years, a personal communication system has been proposed. One of the crucial issues for realizing the personal communication system is consideration of allocation schemes for network functions.
This paper first proposes and classifies personal communication services. Then the allocation scheme for network functions into a communication network is proposed. Finally the proposed scheme is evaluated from the viewpoints of data base scale, service processing ability at each node, and control messede traffic on a signalling network.
