A Tactile Display by 16 kinds of modulated wave vibration Used Only One PZT Vibrator

Abstract

In this paper, we propose the new system of information presentation by using only one PZT vibrator to transfer complex information through a tactile sensation. We thought about the technique which a modulated wave was used as for the output of the vibrator. 16 kinds of modulated wave vibration which sensitiviness was different from were configured as this result, and this vibration was configured in the 4×4 matrix-shaped. We did the recognition experiment of this 4×4 matrix and validated the information presentation which modulated wave vibration by only one tactile sensation stimulus component was used for.
