Feedwater flow control for an once-through heat recovery boiler with multiple evaporators

Abstract

In this paper multivariable control and PI control are combined with cascade connection for an once-through type heat recovery boiler with multiple evaporators. An LQR design method has been applied to develop a decouplling controller for an interactive feedwater control of a heat recovery boiler. PI control has been applied to regulate outlet steam quality of each evaporators.
