A practical active auxiliary quasi-resonant dc link snubber circuit with a diode clamping loop to reduce the switching losses and suppress a voltage ringing which causes in the loop including auxiliary zero current switching device; IGBT with parasitic electrostatic capacity is evaluated experimentally.
