Abstract

When I was in charge of the subject "Literature" in the second half of 2020 at my school, I gave a lesson using Chinese classics as a teaching material.

I chose teaching materials that encourage students to see "immutable, common, continuous" rather than "change, difference, and discontinuity" between the classical world and modern society.

Then, the effect was verified by the learning results of the students. In particular, I analyzed in detail the reaction of the students to Wang Chong's "Lun heng"王充《論衡》in the Eastern Han, and as a result, the reaction of the students spread in various directions.

It shows that the students read the teaching materials not as a classic with a period but as a classic with a modernity. It can be said that the selection of teaching materials with the above intention was successful to some extent.
