The aim of the present study was to evaluate the changes in the physiological parameters and Kansei evaluation of the skin before and after the technique of facial threading. Sixty female subjects participated in this study. The changes of skin roughness, melanin index, erythema index and water retention were measured before and after the experiment, and subject's perception of the beauty technique including tactile, visual, and overall sensation was also evaluated. The results showed significant reduction in the roughness of the skin after facial treatment. The tactile and visual perceptual evaluation of the face was significantly improved. The result of the overall comprehensive perception showed that 60% of the subjects felt smooth skin, 5% felt whiter skin and 30% felt smoother and whiter skin. The visual perception of a smoother, white, and bright skin after the procedure proved that perceptual evaluation for skin was a necessary assessment.
