Recent studies of the malignant lymphoma reveal that these are classified into Hodgkin's disease, reticulum cell sarcoma, lymph sarcoma and etc., but they have close, histogenetic interrelationship and mutual transformation each other.
A woman, 59-yeas-old, had been diagnosed as a giant follicular lymphoma (approximately for one year) by means of biopsy of cervical lymph node previously, but subsequent autopsy showed that she also had Hodgkin's sarcoma.
Although the giant follicular lymphoma is relatively benign nature, it has a tendency to terminate as lymph sarcoma, reticulum cell sarcoma or Hodgkin's sarcoma, thus biopsy may show one type of lymphoma, but subsequent autopsy shows another or more than one.
