Fuzzy logic control in a joystick operated hydraulic crane

Abstract

Fuzzy logic has been applied in various “difficult” control systems, usually closed-loop in nature. In the case of hydraulic crane, the operator often has to manage with many valves simultaneously in order to steer a load smoothly. In this case, by installing electrically operated joystick and introducing fuzzy logic controller, we can reduce the operator's supervisory work of independent booms.
