Abstract

With the corporate message “Kirei Lifestyle” in mind, we have started initiatives to reduce environmental impact, aiming to solve current social issues and contribute to a recycling-oriented society in the future, as well as to shift from a conventional linear economy to a circular economy. In this report, we introduce the technology of reduction innovation in digital printing for flexible packaging using LUNAJET®, the water-based pigment inkjet ink, in order to create a new eco-value chain, and report the calculation results of reduction in environmental damage contributed by the innovations. In addition, we will introduce the development of thermo-responed LUNAJET® ink as an initiative for recycling innovation aimed at horizontal recycling. We are working on these digital eco-printing solutions with the cooperation of related industries and consumers.
