Enlargement of Digital Images with Laplacian Information by Radial Basis Interpolation Method

Abstract

In this paper, Laplacian images are used in order to restore high frequency components required for digital image enlargement. Moreover, RBI method is applied to a sampled image and its Laplacian images for enlargement, and the Laplacian image is added to the enlarged sampled image. As a result, it is shown that the proposed method improves jaggy edges and restores high frequency components on enlarged images.
