In this paper, we propose a reception control method in which video layers are chosen automatically according to the motion in the video. If there is no or little motion, then the client receives layers including high frequency pictures as many as possible (for that purpose, some low frequency layers may be dropped even if the network capacity allows to receive). Experiments show that the proposed method is effective in improving user is impressions.
