Abstract
Copy protection system is necessary to launch digital recording devices to the market. We proposed the Copy Generation Management System and we call its information as CGMS-D on digital interface and CGMS-A on analog interface. We proposed to transfer CGMS-A information by using the VBI lines 20 and 283 which are defined to transfer aspect ratio information for mainly packaged media. This signal format is called as Video ID format and it can transfer various video additional information.
