Abstract

A high-sensitivity HDTV camera has been developed using a 2.5-inch (useful area 40mm DIA.) proximity focused image intensifier tube and a 1-inch 2M-pixels FIT CCD. It has a high resolution of 1000TV lines, a high sensitivity of 0.04lux at F4,and a high SN ratio of 50dB. This camera can produce high-quality images of milky way, nebulae and comet.
