Application and User Interface of the Program Index System

Abstract

The Program Index is metadata of TV program for new digital broadcasting services such as non-linear watching, program group guide, and so on. In this paper, we propose new air-format for specifying thumbnail-image based on the program Index. We also describe newly developed prototype user interface system of the Program Index application using thumbnail image. Finally, we describe experimental end-to-end system on which the prototype user interface system is developed.
