Abstract

Temperature distribution in a human body phantom exposed by an electromagnetic field has been analyzed by using the finite difference time domain method combined with the heat transfer equation (FDTD-HTE). However, the calculated temperature distribution near the air/phantom interface has large error compared with an experiment. We propose a novel surface boundary condition (SBC) for analyzing the electromagnetic heating in a human-equivalent phantom. The validity of the proposed SBC is tested numerically
