A method of modification of lighting condition for Image-based virtual studios

Abstract

We are studying an image-based virtual studio for television program production. The image-based virtual studio consists of background image and live image of actor. We have developed a method of modification of lighting condition on background. Moreover, we applied this method to image-based virtual studios. In this method, we have defined the light model as main light source and environmental light source. Then one can change shading of background image to manipulate onlv diffuse reflection.
