The Tenth Color Imaging Conference was held in November, 2001 in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.A. This article introduces five papers. The first paper investigates several methods for the re-characterization of color printers with minimal effort. The second paper proposes a method to obtain multi-primary control values from XYZ for multi-primary color reproduction. The third paper proposes a method to estimate the visual difference between printed and display images. The forth paper presents an evaluation method of color estimation accuracy for multispectral camera. The last paper introduces the new color imaging technology, FoveonX3, with its specifications and characteristics.
