Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementations of USPM system, a cohesive power management architecture which uses status of user's appliance usage to determine unnecessary power. Increase in power consumption has become a serious issue, resulting in the need to conserve power efficiently by rationally improving the usage of appliances. By considering the usage status of appliances, USPM detects unnecessary power consumption, and controls the appliance to reduce power consumption. By restoring the status of appliances based on the user's needs, USPM can reduce unnecessary power consumption without increasing the burden of the user.
