We proposed the High-Density Directional (HDD) display for 3D display. Mobile HDD display can make high realistic sensation due to stereoscopic display though screen size is small. Anew man-machine interface can be realized using the mobile HDD display and the fingertip pointing. We previously proposed fingertip pointing using ultrasonic sensors. The detection accuracy was low because the ultrasonic wavelength was about 8.5 mm. In this study, we use fingertip pointing using a IR stereo camera to improve the detection accuracy. The fingertip pointing was applied to spatial drawing.
