Abstract
We are developing an intuitive and fast indoor free-space optical communication system in which a dedicated CMOS image sensor with functions of ordinary image capturing and concurrent multi-point optical data acquisition to offer space- and wavelength-division-multiplexing. As its components, prototypes of the dedicated CMOS image sensor and a wide-angle beam steering optics for uplink have been developed. We have confirmed beam deflection, and concurrent optical data acquisition at data rate of 10-Mbps/ch from two nodes at the hub.
