Dual Band Circularly Polarized Microstrip Antenna

A dual band circularly polarized square microstrip antenna with one pair of L-shaped slit at each edge is proposed. The antenna is fed by an L-probe coaxial feed. The bandwidths of 3dB-axial ratio wit -10dB-|S11| are greater than 10MHz at both L1 band and L2 band in GPS. By simulations, the relationships between gain and parameters of antenna geometry are investigated. Moreover, to ascertain the accuracy of the simulated results, the simulated axial ratio and return loss are compared to experimental data.
