Abstract
Multirate controllers are widely used for Hard Disk Drives. However, the conventional formulation based on the multirate lifting technique can not express the characteristics over the Nyquist frequency. We propose a new approach for multirate notch filter design considering the margins explicitly by introdusing a virtual sampling point which enables frequency analysis over the Nyquist frequency.
