A variety of entrance selections held at National Universities in recent years in Japan has been discussed. With admissions office (AO) selection which was firstly introduced at National Universities in Heisei 12 (2000) academic year's examination, it is very important how to measure suitably the applicant's interests, capabilities, and potentials, and his/her desires to learn at the universities. In the present paper the discussions were focused on the concrete measurement of the whole talents of applicants. The several approaches for the improvements of AO selection held at the present time were also proposed.
