Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the structure of economic space based on the point of interregional feedback loops of intermediate goods in Japanese Economy of 1980s. This paper examines the possibility of interpretation on "Space of Flow" with interregional feedback loops of intermediate goods in a case of 1985. To do so, regional feedback loops could be distinguished into two categories. First, internal feedback loops of self-region are feedback relations of intermediate goods in regional areas. Second, external feedback loops of interregional are feedback relations of intermediate goods among interregional areas. This paper is focused on researching external feedback loops of interregional areas. It is an analysis on feedback relations with interpretation of hierarchy feedback loop approach. The result is summarized as follows : 1. It is important to recognize that Economic space could be examined the structure of interregional relations based on Space of Flow. 2. The strengths of external feedback loops of interregional areas include 28% of the overall interregional flows. In metropolitan areas, the interregional feed back loops on flow of intermediate goods reveals a remarkable economic hierarchy structure in interregional feed back loops on the point of core-periphery area. 3. Especially, the Impact of Kanto region in the flow space is stronger than any other region in 1980's and feedback loops includes 62.9% in the overall interregional flows. The feedback loops of Kyushu region includes 25.3% in the overall interregional flows.
