A method for determining effective thermal conductivity of an aquifer is developed in this study. The analytical and experimental studies were conducted by using one-dimensional flow model.
The experimental equipment is shown in Fig.2. The pipe packed with glass-beases was used as a porous media. The dimensionless groups of temperature, distance and effective thermal conductivity were defined in Eq. ( 2 ), Eq. (3 ) and Eq. ( 5 ), respectively. The thermal comductivity may be predicted by using Fig.1 shown the relationship between dimensionless groups. Although the study was based on one-dimensional flow model, the results may be extended for on aquifer in a field.
