Abstract
The present study addresses the thermodynamic properties of aqueous solutions of magnesium chloride and calcium chloride at temperatures up to 523.15 K, pressures to 50 MPa, and concentrations to 4 mol/kg. Pitzer equation is used to describe osmotic coefficient, mean ionic activity coefficients, apparent molar relative
enthalpy, apparent molar volume, and apparent molar heat capacity. This study shows 28 parameters for the
temperature and pressure dependence of the Pitzer parameters.
