We would like to describe recent trends of the global environment in the international community. Discussed here is the problem of the earth in which we live. We take up 11 points such as China's economic development and pollution, rising prices of oil and food, emerging gene─manipulated foods, climate change, decreasing tropical forest, desertification, marine pollution, chemical products, nuclear energy and electro─magneticism. The modern science and technology provides us with convenient products which cause serious damage to the earth. We should strive for the civilization based on the non─nucleaire, non─petroleum energy.
