Shibuya Station is one of the largest terminal station in Japan, second only to Shinjuku. The current Shibuya Station has some issues pointed out, due to repeated extension and reconstruction from the Taisho era. With the relocation of the Toyoko Line Shibuya Station to underground, examinations of the urban infrastructure and city planning around the Shibuya Station have been done, and Tokyu is now carrying out the Shibuya Station District redevelopment project in cooperation with both public and private sectors, which is said to be a once in a 100 years project. Therefore, I will introduce examples where I utilized underground space to solve issues around the Shibuya Station in this project.
