Abstract

In this paper, based on experience as psychiatrist, a set of models are proposed which enable us to understand the process through which human being is to encounter a communication barrier and to secure remedy for it.The overwhelming experience model explains the process as follows.Any human being, when experienced a overwhelming event, 1)tries to eliminate it as he can not assimilate it, and, is deprived of the sence of being normal as he experiences it as something that cannot be(principle of experience heterogenization and consciousness of being left out), and 2)finds difficulty in acting subjectively as he is strongly apprehensive of the reliability upon himself because of the experience (principle of retreat of subjectivity). It says that he gets well when he can rid himself of the rule of these principles, but, when unable to do so by himself, he needs some help from someone who knows these well through the personal mutual relationship (including communication). The observational data say that the degree of liability and the way to be overwhelmed is different when one differs, and the development model explains the difference.According to this model, any human being, during his grownup process, acquires a mental power to discriminate one thing from the other and to compound the different things into a unified whole, and the difference of the degree of the formation of this power offers the explanation. It is inferred from the above that this mental power to discriminate and to compound makes it possible for human beings to communicate, and the cure is possible when the sufferer have this power. But, for the time being, it is not clear how one acquires this power.
