Possibility of the data dissemination seen from the reaction to action of open data by the Japanese Government

Abstract

As part of the open data policy, the Japanese government has established and operated a data catalog site "Data.go.jp", and about 17 thousand data sets have been released. A function to send opinions and questions is provided to this site, and responses to them are also released. In this research, we conduct a case analysis on the "Opinion ・ Answer release corner" shown in "Data.go.jp". Through this analysis, we discuss the possibilities and challenges for the government to promote open data.
