Abstract

This research explores which mode of thinking (e.g., verbalization, internal image representation, perspective-taking of others) is used, and improve the performance (e.g., cooperate achievement, novelty, users' reputation) among engineer, business planner and creator collected by the online questionnaire survey (n=800) on eight stages of the creative process (Sawyer, 2012). As the result, we found the large difference among the thinking modes of each occupation and stage of the creative process. The modes that the respondents of each occupation on each stage do not use often improve the performance significantly. For example, the engineers who take user-perspective improve the performance, although they rarely do it in the reality.
