Possibility of commercial use of open data

Abstract

In public administration, open data efforts to provide data in a freely available form are spreading. Open data can also be used for commercial purposes. Therefore, there are some cases where open data published by public administration is actually used for commercial purposes. This study analyzes the use cases of "Open Data 100", which is a collection of use cases of open data published by the National Strategy office of Information and Communication Technology, Cabinet Secretariat, and verifies the possibility of commercial use of open data.
