Proposal of a support method for planning operation by use of Gantt charts & RPA

Abstract

For small-sized manufacturing enterprises, speedy planning operation and progress management operation for variable models in variable quantities are essential. Although there are many kinds of production planning software for production planning, they are not used in SMEs. It is because these kinds are expensive and have no sufficient functions for the enterprises. In the existing conditions, experience and repetition of trials and errors make the planning of production schedules possible. Therefore, we propose a tool which supports heuristics scheduling by directly inputting to a Gantt chart with no use of conventional approaches. In this paper are reported the design contents of our trial system and the method for operation efficiency and automation by use of Robotic process automation (RPA).
