An Exploration of the process of creating competent followers through team building through two-way communication in servant leadership

Abstract

As organizational structures change from spider to starfish, the demand for servant leadership is increasing. This is predicated on two-way communication between leaders and followers. This study will chart the process by which the words and actions between the two parties influence human resource development. The results of this study bring novelty to existing leadership research in two respects: bidirectional communication and team maturity.
