Abstract
I determined the optimal time for color-banding chicks of Jungle Crows, Corvus macrorh-ynchos, to carry out behavioral observations individually marked birds.
1. I made plastic bands which are about 10mm in internal diameter. When I attached 2 bands (each band was 13mm in height) or 3 bands (each band was 8 cm in height), the combined height was 24 or 26mm.
2. When the female crow sat in her nest, her tail appeared. When I saw the tail from under the nesting tree, I could assume that she laied some eggs.
3. The optimal time for banding cheiks was about 40 days from egg-laying.
