ACCURACY OF TWO-STAGE SELECTION METHOD

Abstract

An entrance examination to an university measures the ability of applicants. However, the measurement is not completely accurate but involves some amount of errors. In this paper, accuracies in entrance examinations are evaluated, especially in the case of two-stage selection method. Appropriate choices of parameters to attain the maximum accuracy are discussed.
