Two kinds of materials of glaze, ash of Quercus, and Konogawa Chinese Stone, which were examind by ordinary chemical Analysis, and also the authors have analized chemically, and accomplished microscopic examination of two kinds of glazes of old earthenwares.
It is concluded that old Tobe-earthenwares were ignited with ordinaly templates.
It is cartain that as a component of glaze the ash of Quercus was used.
