Abstract

One of the major problems of current education is how to educate the children who form the future society by the instruction of each subject. It is natural that educational policy of nation is embodied on curriculum of each subject of the nation compulsory education system. Therefore we must examine both of educational policy and curriculum of each subject. Because children are taught by these. Karachi Plan, established in 1959, has brought about the modernization of education in Asia, which intend to enforce the concrete educational policy of each country of Asia. Concerning the establishment of this plan, the modernization of education in Taiwan has been arranged rapidly. It was in 1969 that compulsory education system for nine years established in Taiwan. What kind of child is going to educate by music education under such background? To answer this question, these writers analysed the curriculum of music education and examine the aims, the contents and the methods in Taiwan in this study. Ultimately these writers hope to contribute the development of the music education in future in Taiwan.
