By conducting an electrocardiogram on a medical checkup, various information such as arrhythmia, myocardial abnormalities, and the possibility of respiratory disease can be obtained, leading to early detection and treatment of heart disease. Recently most cardiograms have an automatic diagnosis function. This is a very useful function, but there are also many problems that need improvement, such as the accuracy of measurement points and judgment when noise is mixed.
In order to maintain the confidence of those who receive a general medical examination, the facility is required to be at a level where the electrocardiography to be performed is reliable. For that purpose, it is important to confirm the level of one's own facility by participating in the external quality control as well as internal quality control in the facilities
The Japan Society of Health Evaluation and Promotion manages the accuracy of the electrocardiogram once a year, and 363 facilities participate in 2018, and most facilities received an excellent judgment. However, there are also differences in the situation depending on each facility, such as who and at what timing of the electrocardiogram determination and how to reflect the determination result in the examination result.
