Abstract
Ewing's sarcomas are considered to be malignant bone tumors which usually arise in the medullary tissue of the long bone or pelvis. In the head and neck region, primary Ewing's sarcoma is very rare. In this report, a rare case of primary Ewing's sarcoma, which arose in the soft tissue of the right nasal cavity and then invaded the cranial base is presented. The patient was treated by chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy. The tumor in the nasal cavity was obscured after radiation, however, the tumor recurred in the madullary tissue of the bone, which thus led to DIC. The chemo-radio therapy reginen proved to be effective but not sufficient.
