The author reports a case of vicarious epistaxis, which occurred in a female aged 29 at the end of menstruation of far smaller quantity than usual. Anterior rhinoscopy revealed that the inferior and middle turbinate were intensively reddened, swollen and eroded particularly at their anterior portions. The bleeding was easily controlled by cauterization with a chromic acid bead.
