This is the report of a case, a schoolgirl aged 16 at Oct. 1947, of a manifestation of an acute myeloid leucemia after a radical mastoid operation of ohronic suppurative Otitis Media.
After the operation, she was feverish, the granulation was covered with pyoid fibrous fur, and the right tonsil become necrotic ; these remained bad in spite of the various treatment.
The 22nd day after op. by the use of Penicillin, she was removed of fever, necrosis of the tonsil healed up, and the swelling of the wound decreased. But after leaving off the use of Penicillin she became feverish and the view of the blood and woundgranulation became worse again. She died 72nd days after the operation.
