Surgical treatment is often required for eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS), however, some patients experience poor postoperative outcomes. While inadequate surgical and postoperative management is thought to be a contributing factor to poor disease control, no specific guidelines currently exist. Management of bronchial asthma and the approach to oral corticosteroid use are important considerations in postoperative management of patients with ECRS. In this article, I describe our institution’s protocol for postoperative management of these patients, covering both early-stage and mid-to-long-term care. I also present data on the prognosis prediction after surgery and cases requiring secondary treatment.
