NaOH solution being applied in the fenestra rotundum and the cochlear wall, the otolith-reaction appears first and the reaction of the semicircularcanal follows. In the case of fenestra ovalis both phenomena appear at the same time. In both cases of horizontal and antrior semicircular canals, the reaction of the semicircular-canal appears first or sometimes the two phenomena begin at the same time.
