Observations on 48 cases of nasopharyngeal tumors that were found during the period of 10 years are made with review of literature.
At the first, the statistical observation of these cases are described.
These cases are characterized by having a poor prognosis and by difficulty in reaching a diagnosis particulary because the initial symptoms are vague as well as varied. Finding a means by which an early diagnosis of disease may be made is highly desirable.
Secondaly, the effects of these treatment are discussed at the point of the various factors.
Most commonly, these cases are treated by radiation therapy, but in some cases, we schould applied the surgical treatment with radical neck dissection.
