Abstract
The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan (IEIJ) established academic division system in response to public service corporation system this year. The division of solid-state light source is one of 8 new academic divisions, and handles the technical activity whole in conjunction with hardware about the solid-state light source. In this report, issues on IEIJ, the conventional action about the solid-state light source, the role of the new division, activity contents this year and action in the future are introduced.
